Music With a Greater Purpose
I didn’t always make Christian music.
There was a time when I was creating secular music. But as I began reading the Bible and learning more about God and Christ, something changed—not only in the way I saw life, but also in the way I saw music.
I began to believe that the music I created could have a greater purpose.
A NEW DIRECTION
When the Purpose of the Music Changed
As I spent more time reading the Bible, I began to understand life differently.
I came to believe in God and Christ in a deeper and more personal way, and that changed what I wanted to communicate through music.
I no longer wanted to make songs simply because I could make them.
I wanted the music to be for God.
I wanted to share the Gospel.
And I wanted the songs to communicate biblical truth and wisdom that could help people think differently about their lives.
That became the new direction.
From an Empty Life to a Life With Purpose
Before knowing God and Christ, there were ways I thought and lived that I now see differently.
There were ideas that seemed important but ultimately felt empty.
There were also difficult experiences and pain from the past.
Coming to know God and Christ didn’t mean that life suddenly became free from challenges.
It meant I had a different foundation for facing them.
Faith gave me direction.
God’s Word gave me truth to return to.
Instead of seeing life only through the ideas around me, I began learning to see it through a different perspective.
That transformation became part of the music.
START AGAIN
A New Direction Is Possible
The idea behind Start Again comes from something I believe deeply:
The past doesn’t have to determine the direction of the rest of our lives.
We can recognize ways of thinking and living that have taken us in the wrong direction.
We can leave behind ideas and promises that ultimately lead nowhere.
We can renew our minds.
We can trust God.
And we can begin moving toward the person He created us to be.
For me, starting again isn’t pretending the past never happened.
It’s choosing a different direction because of what I now believe.
A Modern Sound for a Timeless Message
Christian music doesn’t have to sound only one way.
My music isn’t built around the sound of traditional hymns or conventional worship music.
The songs draw from light rock, alternative, acoustic music, and the melodic influences I’ve carried with me as a musician.
I want the sound to feel modern and memorable while the message remains rooted in something much deeper:
God.
Christ.
The Gospel.
Hope.
Truth.
God’s Word.
The style can be contemporary.
The truth behind it doesn’t have to change.
THE CREATIVE PROCESS
From the First Melody to the Finished Record
I’m involved in every part of making my records.
I write and compose the songs.
I play the instruments.
I produce the recordings.
I mix and master the finished music.
That allows me to follow an idea from the first melody all the way to the final record.
But the technical process isn’t the point.
Those skills are simply part of being the artist I am.
Everything should serve the song—and the song should serve its purpose.
ENGLISH + ESPAÑOL
Two Languages. The Same Purpose.
Start Again and Volver a comenzar contain the same 10 songs in English and Spanish.
The language changes.
The purpose doesn’t.
Both versions explore faith, hope, relationships, transformation, God’s presence, His Word, healing, purpose, and the need for His guidance.
Creating the music in both languages allows the same message to reach listeners in both languages.
WHY I MAKE MUSIC
More Than Entertainment
I love music.
I love melodies.
I love the process of taking an idea and turning it into a finished song.
But I want the music to mean more than entertainment.
If a song gives someone hope during a difficult season, that’s meaningful to me.
If it encourages someone to think differently, that’s meaningful.
If it helps someone become curious about God or Christ, return to His Word, or take another step in faith, then the song has served a greater purpose.
That’s why I continue making this music.
